All members are encouraged to register online, even if you don't want to pay online. It will guarantee your early-bird registration cost reduction as well as guarantee you a spot.

Why use Online Registration?
Online Registration streamlines the registration process  and offers a tremendous convenience for you to pay for and register online.

Why am I directed to an Active.com website?

The KDLA is using Active.com as a service to complete the registering online. They currently have over 15,000 different local leagues, clubs, tournaments and events that chose to partner with Active for registration services.

Does it cost to register online?

No. You can register online without making a payment, and it will not cost you anything.

Does it cost to make payments online?

Yes. For the convenience of paying online, Active.com, will add a standard 6.5% to your payment as a transaction fee. As an example, those that register online, will pay $7.50 for their $115 registration costing them $122.50. (Please note: This may change prior to the start of the registration dates)

Is it secure to make payments online?

Yes. Active.com is a VeriSign Secure Site. Active.com protects registrants' payment information at all times using several thorough security policies and safeguards. Strict security begins at the point of data transmission, where they use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption certificates issued by industry leader VeriSign (www.verisign.com) on all of their payment servers. This SLL encryption scrambles all payment information between the registrants' computers and their servers, payment data is effectively locked away by storing payment data on separate servers that do not have direct access to the Internet, and protecting them from digital access using a firewall. Payment data is further secured by limiting access, in fact denying access, from the Web site. Their Web site does not read credit card data from the database, nor does it make that data available to event administrators using their data export utility. Thus, credit card data is never available on the Web site, never leaves the Active systems, and event administrators are protected from the risk they would incur if they had to store and protect that data themselves.

What happens if I need a refund?

The KDLA will not credit your credit card if you require a refund. See registration page for refund policy. A cheque will be sent to your mailing address for the refund.

Do I still have to show up to on registration day?

If you are a returning player will still need to show up and have your guardian/parent sign the OLA registration form after they have verified that the information from the previous year is correct. If you are a new player, you are required to provide a copy of your Health Card and proof of age, as well as have your guardian/parent sign the form. Any player that registers online, but does not play online, should bring our payment on to one of the registration days.

Note:
  • Those players that are currently (2006 season) registered with another OLA Minor lacrosse association can participate in our Winter program but must present a copy of their 2007 OLA registration form from their association for insurance purposes, and in no way releases them to our organization. 
  • Where registering online will guarantee the applicant a spot in one of our programs, membership payment is due prior to that applicant stepping on the floor.
  • Registration fees are due at time of registration for the Winter and House league Programs. Post-dated cheques are accepted. Competitive (Rep) fees and or balance of, are due prior to the week before the Provincial games. Visit our registration web page for registration fees.
